From Bükk, take Route 25 towards Miskolc. Follow the signs for Miskolc and merge onto the M3 motorway towards Budapest. After approximately 2 hours of driving, take exit 15 for the M0 ring road towards Szeged. Continue on the M0 for about 10 km, then take exit 1 towards Budapest/Érd. Follow signs for the city center and merge onto the M1 motorway. As you approach Budapest, continue on to the Buda side of the city. Look for signs indicating 'Vár' or 'Castle Hill'. Buda Castle is located at Szent György tér, 1014, in District I. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared for fees that can vary from 500 HUF to 2000 HUF per hour.

To reach Buda Castle from Bükk using public transportation, first head to the nearest train station (Miskolc). Take a train towards Budapest, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at Budapest's Nyugati Railway Station, transfer to the metro line M3 (blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Get off at the Deák Ferenc tér station and transfer to the M2 (red line) towards Déli Pályaudvar. Once at Déli Pályaudvar, exit and walk towards the Buda Castle Funicular. Take the funicular up to the castle area. The funicular costs around 1200 HUF for a round trip. Enjoy the stunning views of Budapest as you ascend!
