Car
If you are driving from anywhere in Central Hungary, follow the M1 or M7 highway towards Budapest. Once you are close to the city, take the exit for 'Budaörsi út' to enter the city center. Continue on Budaörsi út, then turn right onto 'Móricz Zsigmond körtér', and follow the signs for 'Buda Castle'. As you approach the castle area, follow signs for 'Szentháromság tér'. There is limited parking available near Matthias Church, so plan to arrive early to secure a spot. Note that parking fees may apply.
Public Transportation - Metro and Bus
If you're using public transportation, take the M2 (red line) metro to 'Deák Ferenc tér'. From there, transfer to the M1 (yellow line) metro towards 'Vörösmarty tér' and get off at 'Vörösmarty tér'. Walk to the nearby bus station and take bus 16 towards 'Szentháromság tér'. This bus will take you directly to Matthias Church, where the Church tower is located. Be sure to check the bus schedule for any delays and have a valid ticket, which can be purchased at metro stations.
Public Transportation - Tram and Bus
Another option is to take tram line 19 or 41 to 'Krisztina tér'. From there, switch to bus 16, which will take you to 'Szentháromság tér'. This route will also take you directly to Matthias Church and its tower. Make sure to validate your ticket before boarding the tram and bus. Tickets can be purchased at tram stops or kiosks.
