If you're driving from Central Transdanubia to Buda Castle, take the M1 motorway towards Budapest. Upon reaching the city, follow signs for the city center. Use the Buda side of the Danube River and look for signs leading to the Castle District (Várnegyed). You can park your car at designated parking spots around the castle area, but be aware that parking fees apply, usually around HUF 440 per hour. The exact address is Szent György tér, 1014 Budapest.
Public Transportation - Train
To reach Buda Castle using public transportation, first take a train from your location in Central Transdanubia to Budapest Déli (Southern) Railway Station. From there, take tram number 61 towards 'Hűvösvölgy'. Get off at the 'Szent Gellért Tér' stop and transfer to bus number 16. Ride the bus to the 'Buda Castle' stop. The bus fare is around HUF 350, and you can purchase tickets at the train station or on the tram. The entire journey may take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your starting point.
Public Transportation - Bus
Alternatively, you can take a bus directly. Look for long-distance buses that operate from various towns in Central Transdanubia to Budapest. Arrive at Budapest's Népliget Bus Station. From there, board the M3 Metro line towards 'Újpest-Központ'. Transfer at 'Deák Ferenc tér' to Metro line M2 towards 'Deli Pályaudvar' and get off at 'Széll Kálmán tér'. From there, you can catch tram number 61 or bus number 16 to reach the castle area. The bus fare is around HUF 350.
