Public Transport - Bus
From Debrecen city center, head to the main bus station (Debrecen Autóbusz-állomás), which is located at 1. Bajcsy-Zsilinszky utca. Take bus number 100E towards Hortobágy. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Hortobágyi National Park stop, follow the signs to the park entrance, which is about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

Public Transport - Train
Go to the Debrecen Train Station (Debreceni Pályaudvar), located at 1. Kossuth utca. Board a train heading to Füzesabony. The journey takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Füzesabony, transfer to bus number 100E, which will take you directly to the Hortobágyi National Park. From the bus stop, it's a short 5-minute walk to the park entrance.

Walking
If you are staying near the Debrecen city center, you can enjoy a scenic walk to the park. Start from the Great Church (Nagytemplom) and walk along Piac utca, heading northeast. Continue on until you reach the outskirts of the city, where you can catch a bus (as described above) towards Hortobágy. This walk is approximately 3-4 kilometers and is best combined with public transport to reach the park.

For those feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Debrecen. Head towards the Hortobágy National Park via the bike paths that begin at the city center.
