Getting There

  • Car

    From Duna-Ipoly National Park, head towards the nearest main road leading to Budapest. If you are starting from the northern part of the park, take Route 11 south towards Esztergom. Merge onto M1 motorway towards Budapest. Follow the signs to the city center, and take the exit towards Kossuth Lajos tér. The Parliament building will be on your left at Kossuth Lajos tér 8, 1055. Parking can be found at nearby garages, but be prepared to pay around 2000 HUF for a few hours of parking.

    From Duna-Ipoly National Park, make your way to the nearest bus stop or train station. If you're near the town of Visegrád, take the bus to Szob. From Szob, catch a train towards Budapest. Once you arrive at Nyugati Railway Station in Budapest, transfer to Metro Line 3 (the blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Get off at the Arany János utca station. From there, it is a 10-minute walk to the Parliament building. Follow the signs to Kossuth Lajos tér, where the Parliament is located at Kossuth Lajos tér 8, 1055. The total cost for the train and metro will be approximately 800 HUF.
