Walking
If you are in the city center, head towards the main square, Dobo Istvan Ter. From the square, find the street leading east, called Kossuth Lajos Utca. Walk straight along Kossuth Lajos Utca for about 10 minutes. You will see a large hill on your left where the Castle of Eger is located. As you approach the castle, take the stairs or the path leading up to the entrance.

Public Transport
From the Eger bus station (Eger autóbusz-állomás), you can catch bus number 3 or 4 towards the city center. Get off at the stop called 'Kossuth Lajos utca.' From there, walk east along Kossuth Lajos Utca for about 10 minutes. Look for the hill to your left, which is where the Castle of Eger is situated. Follow the path or stairs leading up to the entrance.

If you prefer a taxi, you can book one from any point in the city. Simply ask the driver to take you to 'Eger Vár' or 'Castle of Eger.' The ride should take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off near the entrance of the castle.
