From Hajdúság, take the M35 highway towards Debrecen. Merge onto the M3 motorway at the interchange and continue towards Budapest. Once you reach Budapest, follow the signs for Buda and take the exit for the M1/M7 motorways. Continue on the M1 towards Buda, then follow signs for Citadella. There is a parking lot available near the entrance, which may incur a fee (around 1,000 HUF for a few hours).

Start by taking a bus or train from Hajdúság to Debrecen. From Debrecen, take a train to Budapest Nyugati Railway Station.
