If you are driving from Hanság to Citadella in Budapest, begin your journey by taking Route 1 (E60) towards Budapest. Follow the signs for Budapest, and merge onto the M0 motorway. Continue on the M0, and take the exit for Route 11 towards Szentendre/Budapest. After approximately 20 km, merge onto Route 10 towards Budapest. Continue straight until you reach the city center, then follow signs for Buda Castle. Citadella is located on Gellért Hill, which is easily visible. There is parking available near the entrance, but please check for any parking fees that may apply.
Public Transportation
To reach Citadella from Hanság via public transport, start by taking a bus or tram to the nearest train station with services to Budapest. Once in Budapest, take the Metro Line 4 to the 'Szt. Gellért tér' station. From there, you can either walk to Citadella, which is about a 20-minute uphill walk, or take a bus (bus number 27) that will take you directly to the Citadella stop. Make sure to check the local transport schedules; a ticket for the Metro and bus will cost around 350 HUF.
