If you are starting from the Keszthely city center, head towards the main street, which is called Kossuth Lajos utca. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with the main road, known as Zrinyi Miklos utca. Turn right onto Zrinyi Miklos utca and continue walking until you reach the waterfront. You will see the beautiful promenades along Lake Balaton. Follow the promenade along the lake, and you will eventually reach the central area of Lake Balaton, which is well-signposted.

From Keszthely train station, you can take a local bus towards the lake area. Look for bus line 9 or 10, which frequently run towards the waterfront. Board the bus and get off at the stop called 'Balatonpart,' which is just a short walk from the lake itself. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the lake, and you will find yourself at the shores of Lake Balaton.
