Hiking Tour to the Peak of Hungary

The hike in Budapest that you can't miss

I've been to Budapest quite a few times, but I had no idea there was such great hiking so close to the city, just a two-hourish bus ride away. Laszlo was an excellent guide. I was impressed from the start: I was the only guest, and he still ran the tour. From the very beginning, he happily answered all my questions about everything from nature to politics. The hike itself was easy, the weather was perfect, and the views were stunning. I learned a lot about the local nature, especially mushrooms (a new thing for me). We visited the top of a TV tower (we could see everything!) and finished at a beautiful lookout point with amazing panoramic views. At the end, I received a certificate of participation. I wasn't expecting it, but it makes a nice souvenir. We left Budapest around 7:30 a.m. and got back just before 7 p.m. A full day, and absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.
