Car
If you are driving, head towards the town of Markaz using the main roads. From Mátraháza, take Route 24 towards Markaz, which is approximately a 30-minute drive. Once in Markaz, look for signs leading to the Castle, which is located at the coordinates (47.8369878, 20.0389771). There is limited parking available near the castle, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
To reach Castle of Markaz via public transport, start by taking a bus from nearby towns such as Gyöngyös or Mátrafüred. Buses run regularly, but it’s advisable to check the local schedule in advance. Alight at Markaz, and from the bus stop, it's about a 15-minute walk to the castle. Follow the main road and look for signs pointing to the castle as you approach.
Walking
If you are already in Markaz and walking, navigate towards the castle by heading southwest from the central square. It should take around 15 minutes on foot. Look for the main road that leads to the castle, and enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding area as you walk.
