Car
From Mátra, take the route heading towards Répáshuta. If you are in Mátraháza, take Route 24 towards the town of Gyöngyös. Continue on Route 24 until you reach the junction with Route 25. Turn onto Route 25 and follow the signs for Répáshuta. Once in the village, follow the signs for Bükki National Park. The park entrance is located at Répáshuta, 3559. Parking is available at the park entrance, and may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, start by taking a bus from your location in Mátra to Gyöngyös. From Gyöngyös, transfer to a regional bus that goes to Répáshuta. Ensure to check the bus schedules in advance, as service may vary. Once you arrive in Répáshuta, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Bükki National Park entrance. It's advisable to have some local currency for the taxi and any fees at the park.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, cycling from Mátra to Bükki National Park is a great option. You can rent a bicycle in Mátra and follow the same route as the car directions, but be prepared for some uphill climbs. The total distance is approximately 30 km, and it will take you several hours, depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Répáshuta, follow the local signs to the park entrance.
