Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Gyöngyös, take Route 24 towards Mátra. Continue on Route 24 until you reach the town of Mátrafüred. From there, follow signs to the Mátra Mountain area. Once you are in Mátrafüred, take a left onto the Kékes road (Kékesi út), which leads directly to the Kékes peak. The Statue of Anonymous is located along the path leading up to the Kékes peak, just a short walk from the parking area at the top.

From Budapest, you can take a train to Gyöngyös. Once you arrive at Gyöngyös train station, take bus number 15 towards Mátrafüred. The bus will take you through the scenic routes of Mátra. Get off at the Mátrafüred stop. From here, follow the signposts to Kékes peak, which is approximately a 30-minute walk. The Statue of Anonymous is located just a short distance from the peak.
