From Szombathely city center, head to the Szombathely bus station (Autóbusz-állomás). Take the bus number 14 towards Fertőd, which departs frequently. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Fertőd bus stop, exit the bus and walk straight on Joseph Haydn u. for about 10 minutes until you reach Esterházy-kastély, located at Joseph Haydn u. 2.

If you are near the Szombathely Cathedral, you can walk to Esterházy-kastély. Start at the cathedral and head east on Kossuth Lajos utca. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Petőfi Sándor utca. Turn right on Petőfi Sándor utca and walk until you reach the bus station. From there, follow the public transport instructions to take bus number 14 to Fertőd.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Szombathely. Start your ride from the city center and head towards the bike path that leads to Fertőd. The ride will take about 50 minutes. Follow the signs to Fertőd, and once you arrive, continue on Joseph Haydn u. until you reach Esterházy-kastély at Joseph Haydn u. 2.
