Public Transport - Bus
From Tatabánya, head to the local bus station. Take the bus number 10 towards Budapest. The bus will take you directly to the Árpád híd Metro Station in Budapest. Once you arrive at Árpád híd, transfer to Metro Line 3 (the Blue Line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Travel until you reach the stop for Nagyvárad tér. From Nagyvárad tér, exit the station and walk towards the Danube River. Follow the riverbank until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach Szentlélek tér. The Vasarely Museum will be on your right at Szentlélek tér 6.

Begin your journey at Tatabánya railway station. Purchase a ticket to Budapest Nyugati station. The train ride will take about 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Nyugati station, exit the station and locate the tram stop. Take tram number 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. Get off at Széll Kálmán tér and transfer to bus number 11 towards Szentlélek tér. The bus will take you directly to Szentlélek tér. The Vasarely Museum is located at Szentlélek tér 6, just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you are already in the vicinity of Tatabánya and prefer to walk, head towards the main square in Tatabánya. From the main square, proceed towards the train station and follow the signs for the exit towards the Bányász street. Follow Bányász street straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, continue straight onto the main road, following the signs to Budapest. This is a long walk of about 30 km, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Alternatively, consider taking the train or bus to make the journey easier.
