Walking
From the central square of Váci, head southeast towards the main street (Kossuth Lajos utca). Continue down Kossuth Lajos utca until you reach the junction with Deák Ferenc utca. Turn left onto Deák Ferenc utca and walk straight for about 10-15 minutes. You will pass shops and cafes along the way. As you approach the riverbank, look for the signs pointing to the railway station. Cross the bridge over the Danube River, following the signs for Budapest. Once you reach the other side, continue straight until you reach the tram station 'Közvágóhíd'.

From Váci, walk to the Vác Railway Station (Váci Pályaudvar), which is about a 10-minute walk from the central square. At the station, purchase a ticket to Budapest. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Budapest Nyugati Railway Station, exit the station and head toward the tram stop located nearby. Take tram number 4 or 6 towards Móricz Zsigmond körtér. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Múzeum krt.' stop. The Hungarian National Museum is just a short walk from there, located at Múzeum krt. 14-16.
