Walking
From the center of Vác, head south towards the Váci Cathedral. Walk along Main Street (Fő utca) and take a right at the second intersection onto Széchenyi utca. Continue straight until you reach the Marietta Bridge. Cross the bridge over the Danube River and follow the road signs towards Budapest. Once you reach the outskirts of Budapest, continue on Andrássy Avenue (Andrássy út). After a short walk, you will see the Hungarian State Opera on your left at Andrássy út 22. The building is easily recognizable by its grand architecture.

From Vác, head to the Váci train station (Váci vasútállomás). Take a train towards Budapest, which typically runs every 30 minutes. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station) in Budapest, exit the station and head towards the tram stop. Board tram number 4 or 6 in the direction of Róbert Károly körút. Ride for several stops and get off at the Oktogon stop. From there, walk along Andrássy út for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Hungarian State Opera located at Andrássy út 22.
