Getting There

• Train

  From the center of Vác, walk to the Vác train station (Váci vasútállomás), which is about a 15-minute walk south. Once at the station, buy a ticket to Budapest. Trains to Budapest usually run every 30 minutes. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Budapest's Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station), exit the station and take tram 4 or 6 towards 'Széll Kálmán tér'. Get off at 'Kálvin tér'. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Klotild Palaces at Szabad sajtó út 5.

• Bus

  From the center of Vác, head to the main bus station. Look for buses heading to Budapest, which run frequently. The bus ride will take about 40-50 minutes. Upon arrival at the Népliget bus station in Budapest, transfer to the metro line 3 (blue line) and take it towards 'Kőbánya-Kispest'. Transfer at 'Kálvin tér' and walk about 10 minutes to reach Klotild Palaces at Szabad sajtó út 5.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Vác. The ride to Budapest is approximately 30 km and can take around 1-2 hours depending on your speed. Follow the main road that leads towards Budapest. Once you reach the city, head towards the Danube River and follow it until you reach the center. Klotild Palaces at Szabad sajtó út 5 is located near the river. Use a map or a GPS to navigate through the city streets.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, you can take a long stroll from Vác to Budapest along the Danube River. This scenic route covers about 30 km and will take several hours, so it is recommended to start early and wear comfortable shoes. Once you arrive in Budapest, navigate through the streets towards the center. Klotild Palaces is located at Szabad sajtó út 5, which is easily reachable on foot from various points in the city.
