Walking
Start at the main square of Vác, Kossuth Lajos tér. From the square, head southeast towards the Danube River. Once you reach the riverbank, follow the path along the river until you reach the Váci Bridge. Cross the bridge to enter Budapest. After crossing, you will be on the Pest side. Continue straight along the river until you reach the intersection with Széchenyi István tér. The Ferenc Deák Statue is located in this square, a short walk from the river.
Public transport
From Vác, take the local train (HÉV) towards Budapest. The train station in Vác is centrally located, and trains run frequently. After a short ride, get off at the Deák Ferenc tér station. Exit the station and follow the signs to Széchenyi István tér, which is just a few minutes walk away. The Ferenc Deák Statue is located in the square, so you won’t miss it.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental stations in Vác. Head towards the river and follow the bicycle path along the Danube. This scenic route will take you to the Váci Bridge, where you will cross into Budapest. Once across, continue following the bike path until you reach Széchenyi István tér.
