Public Transport
From Tatabanya, head to the local bus station, which is located at the center of the city. Take bus number 12 towards 'Tatabánya, Kossuth Lajos utca'. It will take approximately 45 minutes to reach Budapest. Once you arrive at the Budapest bus terminal, exit the bus and look for the nearest metro station, which is Deák Ferenc tér. Take Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) and ride it to the stop 'Vörösmarty tér'. From there, exit the station and walk towards the Danube River, following the signs for the riverfront. Once you reach the river, head north along the Sztehlo Gábor rkp. You should see the Mini Tank Sculpture located near the riverbank.

Go to the Tatabanya train station. Purchase a ticket to Budapest. Trains to Budapest leave frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Budapest-Nyugati (Western Railway Station), exit the station and take tram number 4 or 6 from the nearby tram stop.
