Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Vác, head south towards the Váci Vár (Vác Castle). Once you reach the castle, follow the signs towards the main train station (Vác Railway Station), which is approximately a 10-minute walk. At the train station, board a train heading towards Budapest. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Budapest Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station), exit the station and catch tram number 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. After about 5 stops, get off at the Szent György tér stop. Sándor Palace is just a short walk from the stop, located at Szent György tér 2.

  • Bus

    From the main square in Vác, take bus number 1 towards Budapest. The bus will take you directly to the outskirts of Budapest, where you will need to transfer to tram number 4 or 6 at the nearest tram stop. Ride the tram for around 5 stops, getting off at Szent György tér. Sándor Palace will be a short walk from the tram stop, located at Szent György tér 2.

  • Train

    Make your way to the Vác Railway Station. Purchase a ticket to Budapest and board a train heading to Budapest Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station). The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once at Nyugati Station, exit and find tram number 4 or 6. Ride the tram for 5 stops until you reach the Szent György tér stop. From there, it’s a short walk to Sándor Palace at Szent György tér 2.
