Walking
Start from the center of Vác, near the Váci Cathedral. Head east on Kossuth Lajos utca towards the Danube River. After about 300 meters, turn right onto the main road, which leads to the bridge over the river. Cross the bridge and continue straight to reach the main train station, Váci Pályaudvar. From there, take the train to Budapest. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Budapest's Nyugati Pályaudvar, exit the station and take the metro line 3 (blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Get off at the Dózsa György út station and transfer to tram line 4 or 6. Ride the tram until you reach Széll Kálmán tér, which is your destination.
Public Transport
From the center of Vác, take bus number 7 from the stop near the Váci Cathedral. The bus will take you directly to the Váci Pályaudvar train station. Upon arrival at the station, purchase a train ticket to Budapest. The train ride takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Nyugati Pályaudvar in Budapest, follow the signs to the metro. Take metro line 3 (blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest, and get off at Dózsa György út. From there, transfer to tram lines 4 or 6 and ride to Széll Kálmán tér. This is the main square and your destination.
