If you're driving from Akureyri, head east on Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards Húsavík. After approximately 80 kilometers, you'll reach a junction. Take the exit towards Route 87 towards Húsavík. Continue on Route 87 for about 20 kilometers until you arrive in Húsavík. Once in Húsavík, follow the signs for Aðaldalur, Staðarbraut. Grenjaðarstaður - the Old Turfhouse is located at Aðaldalur, Staðarbraut, 641 Húsavík, just off the main road.

To reach Grenjaðarstaður using public transportation, you can take the bus from Akureyri to Húsavík. The bus company Strætó operates routes from Akureyri.
