If you're starting from Akureyri's city center, begin at the main square (Austurbrú), located near the Akureyri Art Museum. Head north on Hafnarstræti street until you reach the intersection with Kópavogsgata. Turn left onto Kópavogsgata and continue walking until you reach the roundabout at the end of the street. Take the first exit onto Ráðhústorg. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Furuvellir. Turn right onto Furuvellir street. The Giant Viking Beer Can will be on your left at Furuvellir 17.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Akureyri. Start at the bike rental location and head towards Hafnarstræti. Cycle north along Hafnarstræti, then take a left onto Kópavogsgata. Continue cycling until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Ráðhústorg and proceed straight until you reach Furuvellir. Turn right on Furuvellir street and you will see the Giant Viking Beer Can on your left at Furuvellir 17.
