Bus
From Akureyri city center, head to the Akureyri Bus Station located at Strandgata 10. Take the bus heading towards Fossholl. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Fossholl stop, Goðafoss is a short walk away. Head north on the main road for about 500 meters, then follow the signs to Goðafoss.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk to Goðafoss from Akureyri. Start at the Akureyri town square and head northeast on Hafnarstræti. Continue on this road for about 6 kilometers (approximately 1.5 hours walk). Follow the signs for Goðafoss as you get closer. The walk is scenic, so take your time to enjoy the views along the way.

You can rent a bicycle in Akureyri and cycle to Goðafoss. From the city center, head towards the main road (Route 1), which has a bike lane.
