Walking
From the center of Akureyri, start at the Akureyri Art Museum located at Hafnarstræti 11. Head east along Hafnarstræti until you reach the intersection with Kaupvangsstræti. Turn left onto Kaupvangsstræti. Continue walking straight on Kaupvangsstræti for about 500 meters. You will see Kirkjutröppurnar on your right. It is a set of stairs that lead up to the church.

If you prefer to take public transport, board the local bus at the nearest bus stop to your location. Take the bus that heads towards Akureyri Church. Get off at the stop called 'Kirkjan' (the church stop). From there, walk down the street towards Kaupvangsstræti, and you will easily find Kirkjutröppurnar right next to the church.

If you have a bike, start from the Akureyri town center. Ride north along the main road until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Kaupvangsstræti. Continue riding straight for about 1 kilometer. Kirkjutröppurnar will be on your left side, adjacent to the church.
