Walking
Start from the Akureyri town center, specifically at the Akureyri Art Museum located at Hafnarstræti 11. From there, head north on Hafnarstræti towards the intersection with Skútuvogur. Turn left onto Skútuvogur and continue walking until you reach the junction with Brekkugata. Turn right onto Brekkugata. Follow Brekkugata until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto Krossanesbraut. Continue on Krossanesbraut for about 1.5 km. You will see signs for Krossanesborgir. The hiking area is located on the right side off Krossanesbraut, accessible via a marked path leading up into the hills.
Public Transport
From Akureyri's main bus station, take a local bus that heads towards the Krossanes area. You can check the local bus schedules at the station or on the bus company's website. After a short ride, get off at the Krossanes stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 500 meters along Krossanesbraut until you see the signage for Krossanesborgir. Follow the marked path leading into the hiking area.
