Car
From Borgarfjörður, get on Route 1 (also known as the Ring Road) heading southeast towards Reykjavík. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 70 km until you reach the capital city. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, take the exit towards Mjódd and then continue onto Miklabraut. Follow signs for the city center. When you reach the intersection with Tryggvagata, turn left. The Reykjavík Museum of Photography is located at Grófarhús, Tryggvagata 15, 101 Reykjavík. There is street parking available nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

Public Transportation
To reach Reykjavík from Borgarfjörður using public transport, start by taking a bus from Borgarnes to Reykjavík. The main bus company is Sterna. Check the schedules online or at the bus station in Borgarnes as they can vary. Once you arrive at the Reykjavík bus terminal (BSÍ), you can either walk or take a local bus to the museum. If you choose to walk, head towards the city center, which is about a 20-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take bus number 1 or 3 towards the city center and get off at the stop near Tryggvagata. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop.
