Walking
From the center of Borgarnes, head southeast on Skallagrímsgata street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Þjóðvegur road (Route 1). Turn left onto Þjóðvegur and walk until you reach the bus stop for the Reykjavík bus. Take the bus to Reykjavík, which should take about 1 hour. Once in Reykjavík, get off at the stop called 'Hlemmur'. From there, walk towards the city center. Follow the path along Laugavegur street until you reach Kirkjutorg square. The Alþingishúsið will be located at 43W5+MWW, Kirkjutorg.

Start at the main bus terminal in Borgarnes. Purchase a ticket for the Reykjavík bus, which runs several times a day. The journey to Reykjavík takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Hlemmur bus station in Reykjavík, transfer to a local bus or simply walk towards the city center. Head towards Laugavegur street, then continue straight until you reach Kirkjutorg square. The Alþingishúsið is located at 43W5+MWW, Kirkjutorg.
