Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the center of Borgarnes, head north on Borgarbraut road. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach Hrafnaklettur street on your left. Turn left onto Hrafnaklettur and walk up the hill. The Borgarnes Watertower Viewpoint is located at the end of the street, at Hrafnaklettur 5. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way.

  For those with access to a bicycle, start from the Borgarnes town center and follow Borgarbraut road heading north. After about 500 meters, turn left onto Hrafnaklettur street. Pedal up the hill, enjoying the scenery. The viewpoint is located at Hrafnaklettur 5. This route provides a slightly quicker option, taking around 10-15 minutes depending on your pace.

  Currently, there are limited public transport options directly to the Borgarnes Watertower Viewpoint. However, you can take a local bus to the nearest stop on Borgarbraut road. From there, walk north for about 500 meters until you reach Hrafnaklettur street. Turn left and walk to the top of the hill to the viewpoint at Hrafnaklettur 5. The total journey may take around 30-40 minutes, considering waiting times for the bus.
