Walking
Start at the Borgarnes town center, specifically at the Borgarnes Museum. Head east on Borgarbraut road until you reach the intersection with Búðargata. Turn left onto Búðargata and continue straight for about 500 meters. You will see the sign leading to the bus stop. Catch the bus heading to Reykjavík. This journey will take around 1 hour. Upon arriving in Reykjavík, get off at the stop closest to the city center. From there, walk south on Hverfisgata and turn left onto Kirkjustræti. Continue walking until you reach Dómkirkjan í Reykjavík, which will be on your right.
Biking
If you're up for a bike ride, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Borgarnes. Start at the Borgarnes town center and head east along Borgarbraut. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Búðargata. Turn left onto Búðargata and follow the road until you arrive at the bus station. From there, you can catch a bus to Reykjavík. Once in Reykjavík, bike south on Hverfisgata, then turn left onto Kirkjustræti and continue until you find Dómkirkjan í Reykjavík on your right.
Public Transport
From Borgarnes, go to the main bus stop located near the town center. Check the schedule for the next bus heading to Reykjavík. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, get off at the main bus terminal. From there, you can either walk or take a local bus that heads towards the city center. If walking, head south along Hverfisgata, then turn left onto Kirkjustræti. Dómkirkjan í Reykjavík will be on your right.
