From the center of Borgarnes, head east on Borgarbraut road (Route 1). Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Borgarnes harbor area. At the harbor, look for the bus stop near the water. From there, you can catch a bus heading towards Reykjavík. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, you will need to transfer to another bus that takes you to Skógarhlíð 10. Follow the signs at the bus terminal to find the correct bus. After around 45 minutes, you will reach your destination.
Bus
Start at the Borgarnes bus station located in the town center. Look for buses heading to Reykjavík. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Reykjavík bus terminal (BSÍ), exit the bus and follow the signs to the local bus stop. You want to catch a bus that goes towards Hlíðar, specifically to the stop closest to Skógarhlíð 10. The journey from the bus terminal to Skógarhlíð should take around 15 minutes.
