Walking
If you are in the center of Borgarnes, you can start at the Borgarnes Settlement Center (Sögusafn Borgarfjarðar). From there, head southeast on Borgarbraut road towards the intersection with Skagfuglavellir street. When you reach the intersection, turn right onto Skagfuglavellir and continue walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the route 1 (Ring Road) heading south. Continue walking along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Kópavogur. You will eventually arrive at Hamraborg 6, Kópavogur, where the Náttúrufræðistofa Kópavogs is located.
Bus
From Borgarnes, head to the local bus stop located near the Borgarnes Settlement Center (Sögusafn Borgarfjarðar). Look for bus number 57 that travels towards Kópavogur. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kópavogur bus terminal, exit the bus and walk southeast on Hamraborg street for about 10 minutes. You will find Náttúrufræðistofa Kópavogs at Hamraborg 6.
