Walking
From the center of Borgarnes, start at the Borgarnes Swimming Pool. Head south on Hafnargata Street towards Borgarbraut Road. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Borgarbraut Road and keep walking until you reach the bus stop for the local bus service. Take the bus heading towards Reykjavík, and enjoy the scenic ride. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, head to the Tjörnin Lake located in the city center at 101 Reykjavík.

Begin your journey at the Borgarnes Bus Station located on Borgarbraut. Look for the bus service heading towards Reykjavík. Make sure to check the schedule for departure times. After a comfortable ride, you will arrive at the BSI Bus Terminal in Reykjavík. From there, walk east on Vatnsmyrarvegur until you reach the intersection with Hringbraut. Turn left onto Hringbraut and continue straight until you reach Tjörnin Lake, which will be on your right.
