Walking
From the center of Borgarnes, head southeast on Borgarbraut towards Þingvalla street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the bus station. From the bus station, you can take the bus to Reykjavík. The travel time is approximately 1 hour. Once in Reykjavík, disembark at the main bus terminal (BSI) and walk towards the city center. Head east on Vatnsmýrarvegur, then turn right onto Skólavörðustígur. The Leif Eriksson Monument will be on your left at Skólavörðustígur 45.
Bus
Begin at the Borgarnes bus station. Take a bus towards Reykjavík; you can check the schedule for the next departure. The journey takes about 1 hour. Upon arrival at BSI in Reykjavík, exit the bus and head towards the city center. Walk east along Vatnsmýrarvegur and take a right onto Skólavörðustígur. The Leif Eriksson Monument is located at Skólavörðustígur 45, and should be visible as you walk along this road.
