Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Dynjandi Waterfall, start by heading south on Route 60. Continue on Route 60 for approximately 16 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 61. Take a left turn onto Route 61 and drive for about 4 kilometers. You will see signs for Hörgshlíðarlaug on your left. Turn left into the parking area for the geothermal pool. The parking is free.

• Public Transportation

  To access Hörgshlíðarlaug via public transport, you will need to take a bus from the nearest bus stop at Dynjandi Waterfall. Check the local bus schedule for the routes that connect to Þingeyri or Ísafjörður, as these buses often pass near Hörgshlíðarlaug. The bus fare ranges from 1,000 to 2,500 ISK depending on your route. Once at the nearest stop, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer along Route 61 to reach Hörgshlíðarlaug, following the signs.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from Dynjandi Waterfall, you can follow the same route as the car. Start by walking south on Route 60 for about 16 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 61, then turn left onto Route 61. Continue walking for about 4 kilometers until you see signs for Hörgshlíðarlaug on your left. This will take you through beautiful landscapes, but be prepared for a long walk, estimated at around 4-5 hours depending on your pace.
