Car
From Dynjandi Waterfall, continue on Road 60 heading north for approximately 8 kilometers. You will pass by beautiful landscapes and small farms. Keep an eye out for scenic pull-offs where you can stop for photos. After 8 kilometers, you will see signs for Dynjandisdalur. Turn left onto the gravel road leading to Dynjandisdalur. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance to the valley.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the bus from the nearest town, Þingeyri, which is about 30 kilometers from Dynjandi Waterfall. There are limited bus services, so check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Þingeyri, you may need to arrange for a taxi or look for local shuttle services that can take you to Dynjandisdalur. Expect to pay around ISK 5000-7000 for a taxi ride from Þingeyri to Dynjandisdalur.
Hiking
For adventurous travelers, you can hike from Dynjandi Waterfall to Dynjandisdalur. The hike is approximately 6 kilometers and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Start from the parking area at Dynjandi Waterfall and follow the marked trails that lead south. The trail is well-maintained but can be steep in sections, so wear sturdy footwear.
