If you're traveling by car, start your journey in the town of Egilsstaðir, which is a central hub in the East Fjords. From Egilsstaðir, take Route 93 south towards Breiðdalsvík. Continue on this road for approximately 35 km until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (the Ring Road). Here, turn left onto Route 1 and continue for another 35 km. Look for the exit towards Route 96, which leads to Stöðvarfjörður. Follow Route 96 for about 15 km, then turn onto Route 96 towards Fáskrúðsfjörður. After approximately 20 km, you'll see signs for Búlandstindur. The mountain is located just off Route 96. There is no cost for driving, but be mindful of fuel prices, which can be higher in remote areas.

If you choose to use public transportation, take a bus from Egilsstaðir to Fáskrúðsfjörður. Bus services are available, but schedules can be limited, so check the latest timetable online or at the bus station. Once you arrive in Fáskrúðsfjörður, you will need to arrange for a taxi or local shuttle service to get to Búlandstindur, which is about 10 km away.
