If you're traveling by car, start from Reyðarfjörður on Route 92 and head south towards Route 1 (the Ring Road). Continue on Route 1 until you reach the junction for Route 96. Take Route 96 towards Mjóifjörður. As you drive, enjoy the stunning landscapes and keep an eye out for road signs directing you to Dalatangi. After approximately 15 km on Route 96, look for a turnoff leading to Skálanes. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the location of Dalatangi, which is situated at the address 7CCF+3P8, Skálanes.
Public Transportation
To reach Dalatangi using public transportation, you can take a bus from Egilsstaðir to Seyðisfjörður. From Seyðisfjörður, you will need to arrange for a taxi or local shuttle service to Skálanes. Please check local bus schedules in advance, as they can vary, and ensure you book your taxi ahead of time. The approximate cost of the bus ride is around 2,000 ISK, while the taxi fare from Seyðisfjörður to Dalatangi may range from 10,000 to 15,000 ISK depending on the provider.
