Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Seyðisfjörður, which is located approximately 30 kilometers from Vöðlavík. From Seyðisfjörður, take Route 93 north until you reach the junction with Route 1 (the Ring Road). Continue on Route 1 for about 20 kilometers, then look for the signs directing you to Vöðlavík. Follow the signs, and after a few more kilometers on a gravel road, you will arrive at Vöðlavík. Please note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for the last stretch of the journey due to possible rough road conditions.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first take a bus from Egilsstaðir to Seyðisfjörður. The bus service is operated by Strætó and runs several times a day. Once you arrive in Seyðisfjörður, you will need to arrange for a taxi to take you to Vöðlavík, as there is no direct bus service to this location. The taxi ride should take approximately 25-30 minutes and will cost around 5000-7000 ISK, depending on the service provider. Be sure to book your taxi in advance.
