If you're driving from Egilsstaðir, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards the west. Continue on Route 1 for about 120 kilometers until you reach Route 93. Take the exit onto Route 93 towards Breiðdalsvík. After approximately 35 kilometers, turn onto Route 1 again and continue for another 15 kilometers until you reach the Hveravellir road sign. Follow the gravel road for about 10 kilometers until you arrive at Hveravellir. It's recommended to use a 4x4 vehicle as the road can be rough.
