If you're driving from Egilsstaðir, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading north. After approximately 25 km, turn right onto Route 93. Continue on Route 93 for about 10 km, then take a left onto Sænautasel Road (the signage will direct you toward Sænautasel). Follow this road until you reach Sænautasel. Be mindful of road conditions, especially in winter.
Bus
From Egilsstaðir, take the local bus service that operates towards Seyðisfjörður. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the stop for Sænautasel. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited. There is a small fee of approximately 1,000 ISK for the bus ride.
