Bus
From Egilsstadir, head to the Egilsstaðir bus station located at Hringbraut 2. Check the schedule for buses heading to Borgarfjörður Eystri. Once you board the bus, enjoy the scenic ride for about 30 minutes. The bus will drop you off in Bakkagerði, which is the closest village to Borgarfjörður Eystri. After getting off, walk towards G5HJ+6G4, which is approximately a 10-minute walk following the main road.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Egilsstadir. Head out of the town towards Route 1, then take a left onto Route 93 towards Borgarfjörður Eystri. The ride is about 18 kilometers and will take roughly 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace. Follow the road signs to Bakkagerði, and once you arrive, you can find Borgarfjörður Eystri by walking about 1 kilometer from the center of the village.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk to Borgarfjörður Eystri, start from the center of Egilsstadir and head towards Route 1. Follow the road signs to Borgarfjörður Eystri. It's a long walk of about 18 kilometers, which will take approximately 4-5 hours. Ensure you have plenty of water and snacks for the journey. Once you reach the village of Bakkagerði, you can navigate to G5HJ+6G4 on foot.
