Bus
Start at the Egilsstaðir Bus Station. Take the bus towards Seyðisfjörður. After about 20 minutes, get off at the stop named 'Bakka'. From here, you will need to walk approximately 6 kilometers along Jökuldalsvegur road. Follow the road signs towards Stuðlagil Canyon. Be cautious of traffic and ensure to stay on the side of the road. The canyon access point is located at 'Grund, Jökuldalsvegur'.

Rent a bicycle in Egilsstaðir. Begin your journey by heading east on Hallormsstaðavegur. After 3 kilometers, turn onto Jökuldalsvegur road. Continue on this road for about 8 kilometers until you reach the 'Grund, Jökuldalsvegur' area. Look for signage that indicates the entrance to Stuðlagil Canyon. The ride is scenic and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

For the adventurous, start your hike from Egilsstaðir towards the canyon. Begin at the Egilsstaðir town center and head towards Hallormsstaðaskógur forest. Follow the hiking trails that lead you towards the Jökuldal Valley. This route is approximately 15 kilometers and will take you through picturesque landscapes. Once you reach Jökuldalsvegur, head towards 'Grund' to find the main access to Stuðlagil Canyon.
