From the center of Grindavik, head north on Hafnargata street towards the main road (Route 43). Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 43. Turn left onto Route 43 and keep walking straight for approximately 45 minutes, following the signs for Reykjavík. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, look for bus stops that service the city center.

From Grindavik, you can take the local bus service (Bus number 55) which operates regularly. The bus station is located near the center of Grindavik. Board the bus and stay on for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the bus terminal in Reykjavík. From the bus terminal, you can either walk or take a local bus to Kirkjutorg (the closest stop to Alþingishúsið). The walk from the terminal to Alþingishúsið will take about 15 minutes.
