From Hafnarfjörður, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Hafnarfjörður bus terminal. Catch the Strætó bus number 1 towards 'Rvk - Hringbraut.' Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Lækjartorg' stop in Reykjavík. From there, walk east along Lækjargata for about 5 minutes until you reach Austurvöllur park located at Pósthússtræti 101.

If you prefer walking from the Hafnarfjörður town center, head north on Strandgata, continuing straight until you reach the main road. Cross over to Kaldárselsvegur and proceed straight until you reach the bus terminal. From the bus terminal, follow the bus route instructions to reach Austurvöllur park.
