Public Bus
To get to Heiðmörk from Hafnarfjordur, start by walking to the nearest bus station, which is located at Hafnarfjordur Town Hall. Catch bus number 1 towards Kópavogur. You will need to stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. When you reach the Kópavogur stop, disembark and transfer to bus number 22 towards Kópavogur – Heiðmörk. This bus will take you directly to Heiðmörk. The total journey should take approximately 45-60 minutes.

If you prefer to walk, it is quite a long trek from Hafnarfjordur to Heiðmörk, approximately 8 kilometers. Start from the center of Hafnarfjordur and head towards Kópavogur. Walk along the main road, Kársnesbraut, towards the north. Continue following this road until you reach the intersection at Suðurgata. Turn right onto Suðurgata and follow it until you reach Heiðmörk. This route usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
