If you are starting from the Hafnarfjörður town center, head southwest on Strandgata street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Hafnarfjörður's main road, Suðurgata. Turn right onto Suðurgata and walk until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the first exit onto Kaldalón street. Continue walking straight on Kaldalón until you see the sign for Leiðarendi Lava Cave on your left. The cave entrance is located a short walk down this path.
