Public Bus
From Hafnarfjörður, head to the nearest bus stop, which is probably 'Hafnarfjörður Ráðhús'. Take bus number 1 toward 'Hlemmur' and ride for about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Hlemmur'. From there, you will need to transfer to bus number 14 towards 'Laugardalur'. Ride this bus for about 15 minutes and get off at 'Lækjartorg'. The Unknown Bureaucrat is a short 5-minute walk from there. Head east on Lækjargata, then turn right onto Hverfisgata. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Túngata, where the sculpture will be located on your left.

If you are near the center of Hafnarfjörður, you can also choose to walk directly to the nearest bus stop 'Hafnarfjörður Ráðhús', which is about a 10-minute walk. Once at the bus stop, follow the instructions above for taking bus number 1 and bus number 14. Alternatively, you can walk to Reykjavík, which will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Head north on Garðarsbraut, cross the bridge, and continue onto Sæbraut until you reach Miðborg in Reykjavík.
