To reach Tjörnin (the pond) in Reykjavik from Hafnarfjordur, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the Strætó bus number 1, which travels directly to downtown Reykjavik. The journey usually takes about 30-40 minutes. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding areas. Get off at the 'Hlemmur' bus stop in Reykjavik. From there, it's a short walk to Tjörnin. Head northwest on Hverfisgata street, then turn left onto Þingholtsstræti. Continue straight, and you will find Tjörnin on your right.
